Farmers mostly use excess doses of chemical fertilizers to ensure leaching losses at the same time to get higher productivity. Zeolite is a tecto-silicate, has infinite, three dimensional system of tunnels and cages which are capable for holding the molecules larger than these channels, hence Zeolites are called as “molecular sieves”. Zeolite has a highly porous structure, hence capable of adsorbing many different types of gases, moisture and chemicals, heavy metals elements etc.
